Love Inspired Shoot at Great Marsh Estate – DC Wedding Photographer | Brittany Drosos Photography
February is the month of LOVE and VA is for Lovers!! I was inspired to do a Valentine’s Day shoot at the beautiful Great Marsh Estate because it is a romantic setting and the perfect place to do it. The estate is just 40 mins from me! It was actually completed in 1989 and is on 121 acres of open land. It has a long gravel driveway between trees that is dreamy as well as a stream and balcony’s in the front and back. I love the architecture of the inside and outside of this estate and had no idea something like this could still be built! They are renovating a barn on the property to hold wedding receptions and parties that will be completed this year. With everything it has, it is my favorite place to shoot!
I wanted this shoot to include beautiful reds and pinks and some vintage to go along with the estate. It has colors to feel like Spring was close although not really because the cold stuck around so long! We did luck out the day of the shoot because it wasn’t freezing like it had been but it was chilly.
From the dreamy lace wedding dress to the luscious bouquet, this shoot came together so beautifully! My favorite spot was the circular ceremony site with the wide open field views that make it so dreamy. Ok, I have two because my other one is the stairs of the mansion with it as a backdrop. There are tons of spots to photograph on this property that give you a variety of views!
My Great Marsh Estate Love Inspired Shoot is featured twice (YAY!) and I put the links below!! I’d love to do more shoots here of any kind such as engagements, families and of course weddings so shoot me a message and tell me your in!!
