I wish I could scream it from the rooftops that I LOVE my job!! Getting to meet beautiful and sweet couples, taking their photos then delivering them is such a rewarding part of what I do. When I met Kaila and Colin for the first time at their engagement session, it was like butter. We clashed so well and had such a fun time together talking about them as well as myself. I love to make my couples laugh so that they feel comfortable with me and in front of my camera. I like to push people out of their comfort zone to help them see what else they can create and these two created MAGIC!! And get this, it was their first time! Didn’t they do an amazing job?!
Kaila and Colin lived in dorm rooms next to each other freshman year of college. They hung out for the first month of school and then started dating. They’ve been together for 6 years and can’t wait to start our forever! How sweet!! They were apart for Valentine’s Day this year, so the weekend after, she was able to visit him. He said he had made plans with another couple to go out to dinner near the Georgetown Waterfront. They were walking along the waterfront when he stopped her and told her he had something he wanted to give her. Colin handed Kaila an interactive photo book he made with pictures and memories of them from the previous years (aww!). The last picture was of them at the Georgetown Waterfront a few months earlier, dressed up for his company’s Christmas party. Under the picture, it said, ” “. That’s when she turned around and he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Woohoo!
I swear these two deserve a round of applause for doing such an amazing job posing at their shoot which was at Great Falls Park! And make sure you check out her gorgeous, dreamy red dress! Congratulations Kaila and Colin!
